The National Reserve "Homeland of Taras Shevchenko" includes 3 villages where Kobzar spent his childhood - Morintsy, Shevchenkovo and Budishche. It was founded in 1992 on the basis of the literary museum in Shevchenkov. There are 40 objects and monuments of the cultural heritage of Ukraine, personal belongings of Shevchenko, collections of his books, photographs and historical documents are stored here.
