Regional landscape park "Tiligulsky", with an area of 8195.4 hectares, is located on the eastern coast of the Tiligulsky estuary, located on the border of the Nikolaev and Odessa regions and is considered the cleanest in the North-Western Black Sea region. RLP was established in 1995 for the conservation and scientific research of valuable natural complexes and historical and cultural sites of Tiligul, the development of organized tourism and recreation. In the steppe adjacent to the estuary, 350 species of plants grow and 384 species of animals and birds are found, many of which are listed in the Red Book of Ukraine - for example, the little cormorant, the yellow sea heron, etc. Tiligul is a place of mass nesting and resting of birds during seasonal migrations.
Liman has the largest reserves of healing hydrogen sulfide mud in Eastern Europe, estimated at several million tons.
