The Peresyp Spit, 9 km long, begins on the eastern outskirts of the village of Kirillovka and separates the Sea of Azov from the
Milk Liman hydrological reserve, which contains therapeutic mud used by local sanatoriums. On Peresyp, which began to be built up in the 1970s, there are numerous recreation centers, boarding houses, children's holiday camps, entertainment complexes, and hotels. The old beaches at the beginning of Peresyp are small and mostly private, with limited access. Further along the spit, the beaches are newer and more spacious.
