The Vvedensky Monastery is located in the historical center of the city, west of
Kiev-Pechersk Lavra. It was opened in 1992 and is currently the main monastery of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate. Prior to that, for almost two centuries, a nunnery functioned here. The monastery building itself, outwardly more like a civilian one, was built in the middle of the 18th century.
