Florovsky Monastery is located on Podil between
Kontraktova Square and
Andreevsky Spusk. It was built at the beginning of the 16th century and is the oldest convent in the city. The complex includes the Ascension Cathedral, the Church of the Resurrection and the Church of Our Lady of Kazan. The monastery is famous for its school of artistic sewing, as well as the source of holy water. It belongs to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate.
