European Square is located in the historical center of the city and is the northeastern end of
Khreshchatyk Street. It was formed at the beginning of the 19th century and was called Konnaya. Throughout its history, it has changed more than one name: Tsarskaya Square, Third International Square, Hitler Square, Stalin Square, Lenin Komsomol Square. She received her current name in 1991.
The Ukrainian House, the National Philharmonic, and the Dnepr Hotel are located on the square. It plays an important role in the social and political life of the city.
