The Church of the Savior on Berestove is located between the
Kiev-Pechersk Lavra and
Memorial to the Holodomor Victims. It was built in the 12th century, and acquired its modern look at the beginning of the 18th century. The five-domed church, built in the Byzantine style, has richly painted interiors, on which the best Kiev and Athos masters worked. Many princes of the Monomakhovich family, as well as Yuri Dolgoruky, are buried here.
