The Fomin Botanical Garden is located between Taras Shevchenko Boulevard and Leo Tolstoy Street opposite Vladimirsky Cathedral. It was founded in 1839 and is one of the oldest in Ukraine. The garden belongs to the Taras Shevchenko National University. Here is a unique collection of plants of various geographical origin, which has about 9 thousand species and forms. In 2004, the Museum of the History of the Garden was opened at the botanical garden.

Behind the Universitet metro station there is a wonderful garden where you can walk for free (there is also a paid part, apparently). So I recommend everyone to take a walk - magnolias and tree-like peonies are still blooming here. And in general - spring is the best time to visit botanical gardens (although it was snowing today). Liked!
