Zhvanetsky castle

Zhvanetsky Castle is located on the banks of the Dnieper in the village of Zhvanets, Kamenetz-Podolsk region. The castle was built in the 15th century and was of great strategic importance. He played a prominent role during the liberation war of 1648–1654, as well as the Russo-Turkish War. The castle was badly damaged during World War II. Currently, among the ruins of the castle, you can find a partially preserved five-sided tower, which is best seen from the other side.
