The first written mention of the church dates back to 1582, in connection with the transfer of the burgher Gapka Tabkova in the ownership of the Trinity Church of his estate. During the Turkish rule in the city, the temple was converted into a mosque. At the beginning of the XVIII century. with the withdrawal of the Turks from Kamianets and the establishment of Polish rule, the church was transferred to the Uniates.
