Nicholas Cathedral is located in the city center near the
St. Nicholas Church. It was built in 1894 on the initiative of the Dnieper Metallurgical Plant. The temple is made in the Old Russian style and is an architectural monument. In Soviet times, it was looted, it housed the Museum of the Revolution, and then the Museum of Local Lore. In 1988 the temple was returned to the Orthodox community and today it is the main Orthodox cathedral in the city. A reconstruction was carried out, which returned the church to its former appearance.
