Pniew Castle
Pnivsky castle
Ukraine, Ivano Frankivsk
The Pnevsky castle is located near the town of Nadvirna, Ivano-Frankivsk region. It was built at the end of the 16th century and belonged to the Polish magnates Kuropatva. The castle played a prominent role during the Wars of Independence and the Polish-Turkish Wars, but then lost its strategic importance.
The ruins of the castle are relatively well preserved to this day, but in 2010 the North Tower collapsed due to a flood, the restoration of which has not yet been resolved.
