Metalist is a multifunctional central stadium in Kharkiv with a capacity of 40,200 spectators and a field of 105 × 68 meters. The opening of the stadium took place on September 12, 1926, in the future it was repeatedly reconstructed, most recently in 2009 for the 2012 European Football Championship. The new canopy covers all seats in the stadium from rain and sun, including the front rows. The structure of the stadium also includes 16 mini-football fields, a tennis court, a basketball court, 3 conference rooms, a sports paraphernalia store, and a children's football academy. The stadium and the ticket office of the stadium are included in the Register of Cultural and National Heritage of Ukraine.
