The former Nemyshlyansky quarry is located below the intersection of Traktorostroiteley avenue and st. Krasnodarskaya, 50 meters from the tram line. The quarry was formed during the extraction of sand on the banks of the Nemyshlya River for the construction of the Saltovsky massif. As the quarry deepened, it began to fill with spring water and later joined the river. This is how the Petrenkovsky Pond was formed - another name is Saltovskoe Lake, 370 meters long and 260 meters wide on average.

In the northern part of the lake there is an equipped sandy beach area about 150 meters wide, located on a slope with several tiers. There are small canopies in the form of mushrooms, benches have been installed, a playground has been equipped, playgrounds for playing volleyball and football, urns have been placed, and a lifeguard is on duty. Those who like to relax more comfortably can rent one of the pavilions with a table and benches and a barbecue. Near the beach there is a spring with clean and cool water. Most of the quarry lake was chosen by fishermen, because pike and perch, rudd and crucian carp bite well here. Winter fishing is popular.
