Kharkiv Opera and Ballet Theater is located in the city center near Shevchenko City Garden and Victory Square. The theater was founded in 1925. Since 1991, it has been located in its current premises, a monumental postmodern building that took 20 years to build. The theater has a rich repertoire - about 60 performances - which are staged in four languages: Ukrainian, Russian, Italian and French.
