Annunciation Cathedral is located in the city center near
Assumption Cathedral. It was built in 1901 on the site of an old wooden cathedral from 1655. The monumental building impresses with its grandeur and beauty: it has a height of 79 meters and can accommodate up to 4,000 parishioners. The walls of the cathedral are painted by famous artists, the iconostasis is made of Carrara marble.
The cathedral is an active parish of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate.
