The Genichesk Museum of Local Lore was founded in 1959. The museum is housed in a one-story building and has 8 exposition halls: the nature of the region with dioramas "The Sea of ​​Azov" and "Biryuchiy Island", ancient history, ethnography, friendship, military glory, outstanding people of the Sea of ​​u200bu200bAzov and two exhibition halls. Among its 10,000 exhibits are antique and medieval ceramics, a stele of the Sarmatian period, mammoth bones, collections of ancient weapons, coins and paintings, dishes from the 18th-19th centuries, Georgian coinage and much more.
