Belokuzminovsky Park
Landscape park Belokuzminovsky, Belokuzminskiy
Ukraine, Donetsk
Very beautiful chalk cliffs are located near the village of Belokuzminovka, Konstantinovsky district, 15 km east of Kramatorsk. The largest and most interesting system of rocks is 500m from the center of the village. The rocks are composed of vertical chalk layers and horizontal flint veinlets. Some rocks are shaped like fingers or sails. Karst is highly developed. Flint fragments of the most bizarre forms, obviously of living origin. Probably, these are the remains of corals from the Tethys Ocean. The rocks in Belokuzminovka are somewhat reminiscent of the famous Krasnoyarsk Pillars. Another place is interesting for significant areas of unplowed steppe, feather grass and chalk.
