Varvara Church is located in the village of Kitaygorod to the north-west of Dnepropetrovsk. It was built in the middle of the 18th century and is part of a unique temple complex. The bell tower church combines elements of an Orthodox church and a defense tower. It was closed in 1954, but with the fall of Soviet power, it was reconstructed again and has been operating since 1996.
