The monastery island is located on the Dnieper in the central part of the city. In Soviet times, he bore the name Komsomolsky. The island is one of the most popular holiday destinations for citizens. There is a part of Shevchenko Park, a zoo, an aquarium and a terrarium, and in 2013 a decorative waterfall was opened.
