The Dnipropetrovsk Historical Museum is located in the city center on Karl Marx Avenue. It was founded in 1849 and has been located in its current classicist building since 1905. The museum's collection includes more than 7 thousand exhibits related to the history of the Dnieper region. It also hosts the largest diorama in Ukraine "Battle for the Dnieper".
