Mezhrechensky Regional Natural Park is the largest landscape park in Ukraine, with an area of ​​more than 1000 sq. km, located in the interfluve of the rivers Dnieper (mainly along the water area of ​​the Kiev reservoir) and Desna, in the south-west of the Chernihiv region. The park, created in 2002, stretches from north to south for an average of 50 km, ending at the border between the Kiev and Chernihiv regions, and from west to east - for 25 km.

Most of the park is occupied by meadows in the flood of the Desna, sometimes marshy, and pine forests interspersed with oak groves. The park is characterized by a rich and diverse fauna: wild boars and elks, roe deer and deer, lynxes and foxes, hares and squirrels live here. The raccoon dog and the American mink hunt along the banks of floodplain reservoirs. Of the rare species of birds, white-tailed eagle, black grouse, black stork are found here. On the Kiev reservoir you can see a mute swan, a great cormorant, a gull-gull.
The administration of the park is located in the village of Otrokhi, 134 km from Kyiv. Here you can order a variety of excursions around the park. The ecological route "Crane Trail", which includes the main local ecosystems, is popular. Also, by agreement, you can visit the "Museum of Forest Life of Pridneprovsky Polissya" with interesting exhibits telling about local folk forest crafts, such as weaving, hunting and fishing, picking mushrooms and berries.
