Chernihiv Detinets is the historical center of the city. It is this fortified place that was first mentioned in the chronicles as early as the beginning of the 10th century. In 1799, the fortress was demolished, now 12 cast-iron cannons remind of it - a favorite place for tourists to take pictures. Currently, the territory of the park is referred to Detinets, here are such city sights as Savior Transfiguration Cathedral, Borisoglebsky Cathedral and Catherine's Church.

Cozy historical center

Don't miss it, all roads start from there. It somehow reminded me of the Mariinsky Park in Kyiv, but not so crowded, and therefore a more spiritual place. The guns did not impress at all ...The ancient muzzles were fitted onto modern decorative gun carriages. Very original birdhouses, see photos.→
