The monument to Taras Shevchenko in Brovary is located in the park. Taras Shevchenko at the corner of Kievskaya and Yaroslav the Wise streets. Near this place there was a post and horse station, where Shevchenko often visited, changing horses or spending the night, during his trips to the Chernihiv region. The first wooden monument-bust to Taras Shevchenko was erected here on 27 April 1923 on the pedestal of the former monument to Alexander II. In 1939, the wooden bust was replaced with a concrete one, and in 1946 with a metal one.
The modern monument to the Kobzar was opened in 1964, on the 150th anniversary of the birth of Shevchenko, on the site of the destroyed Trinity Church. To the 200th anniversary of the birth of Taras Grigorievich, the park named after. T.G. Shevchenko, together with the monument, was reconstructed. The rectangular pedestal was replaced with a truncated pyramid shaped pedestal, to the base of which a small granite staircase leads.
