The local history museum in Brovary is located in an annex to a 9-storey building in the city center. The museum was established in 1981 as a voluntary branch of the Pereyaslav Museum of Local Lore, since 1997 it has been an independent state museum. There are more than 7,000 exhibits in the museum's funds, of which 2,000 exhibits are on display, placed in 6 halls.
In the historical and archaeological hall you can see a ritual ax made of bone and silver earrings from the times of Kievan Rus, get acquainted with the materials about T.G. Shevchenko’s stay in these parts, in hall No. about the work in the Brovarsky children's labor colony of the famous teacher A.S. Makarenko. The exhibition hall presents the works of local artists and sculptors, masters of folk applied art.
