The Church of St. Michael the Archangel, the main architectural landmark of the village of Tolstoye, was built according to the design of the Polish architect Jan Sas-Zubzhitsky in the Neo-Gothic style. The church was founded in 1912 on the site of a demolished wooden church. Due to the outbreak of the First World War, the post-war difficult times, construction was completed only in 1939. The interior of the temple is richly decorated by the famous Ternopil artist Teodor Vatsik. Next to the church there is a three-tiered bell tower made of white silicate brick with a clock on the dome.
