The Dniester canyon, 250 km long, is located on the border of 4 regions of Ukraine: Chernivtsi and Ivano-Frankivsk - on the right bank of the Dniester, Ternopil and Khmelnitsky - on the left. The National Natural Park "Dniester Canyon" was created in February 2010 on the territory of Borshchiv, Buchach, Zalishchik and Monastyrsky districts of the Ternopil region with the central administration in Zalishchyky. The relief of the canyon is unique in the variety of rocks that are geological monuments, where about 50 caves are known, for example,
"Optimistic" and
"Ozernaya". Due to the steep slopes, there are mild winters, early springs and moderately warm summers.
