Transfiguration Cathedral
Transfiguration Cathedral, Transfiguration Cathedral
Ukraine, Bila Tserkva
The Cathedral of the Transfiguration of the Savior was consecrated in 1839, and its founder, Countess Alexandra Branitskaya, was also buried here. In Soviet times, the temple was closed, and only in 1989 services resumed here.
The interior of the temple, built in the classical style, contains many preserved relics, among which books from the 17th century stand out, as well as the Last Supper embroidered in gold. The walls of the temple are decorated with rich paintings.
