Kochubey's house is located in the center of the
Baturyn village. It is the only surviving building after the Baturin pogrom of 1708. It was built at the end of the 17th century and belonged to the General Judge of the Zaporizhia Host Vasily Kochubey. In 1975, a local history museum was opened here, on the basis of which the historical and cultural reserve "Hetman's Capital" was created in 1994. In the cellars of the house, you can see rooms for pre-trial detention and instruments of torture.
