Uludag, in antiquity - Small Olympus, Mysian or Bithynian Olympus - the most significant mountain peak of the Uludag ridge, as well as the entire western part of the peninsula of Asia Minor. Altitude 2543 m above sea level. m. Located directly south of the city of Bursa (until 1326 - Prussia).
In the Middle Ages, it was known as a place of solitude for Orthodox Byzantine monks, which is why the Turks who captured it called the mountain “Keshish-dag” (literally “monastic mountain”) for a long time. Now known as the largest ski resort in Western Turkey. The Uludag National Park has been created around the mountain.
