Mosque Rustam Pasha

Rüstem Paşa Camii, Rüstem Pasha Mosque, Rustem Pasha, Rustem Pasa
Turkey, Istanbul
The Rustam Pasha Mosque is located in the old part of the city on the New Mosque Square in the Eminonu area and the Galata Bridge.
The mosque was built by order of Sultan's son-in-law Suleiman the Legislator, Grand Vizier Rustam Pasha in 1561. The architect of the mosque was Sinan, who had built the Suleymaniye mosque 4 years before. Inside the mosque is well lit, the floor is lined with carpets. The mosque has one minaret.

The mosque is squeezed right into a residential area with a market, so it is impossible to look at it from the outside. Look for the entrance too. But the inside is very nice, warm and cozy. Beautiful tiles on the terrace and inside. One of the best, in my opinion.
