The tower stands on the Asian side, right in the waters of the Bosphorus, not far from the coast. Nothing particularly significant happened in it, and it cannot be called architecturally beautiful either. But a good location near the center of Asian Istanbul, and a romantic view attract not only tourists, but also Aivazovsky, who captured her in one of his famous paintings.
