The main mosque of Manavgat is called Merkez Külliye Camii. This is the largest mosque on the coast of Antalya.
The mosque was built in 2004. During its construction, 250 tons of metal structures and 500 cubic meters of concrete were used. At the same time, 4,000 believers can read namaz in the main mosque of Manavgat.
This is one of the few mosques that has four minarets with three balconies 60 meters high. The main dome of the Merkez Külliye Camii mosque in Manavgat reaches a height of 30 meters. In addition to it, there are 27 more small domes.
The presence of the word Külliye in the name of the mosque indicates the presence of a complex of buildings around the mosque, which should serve religious and social needs. This complex consists of a madrasah, a hospital, a kitchen, a bakery, a hammam and other buildings for various charitable services.
