Excursion to the village of Dalyan

Dalyan
Turkey, Marmaris
The village of Dalyan is located in the extreme southwest of Anatolia, in the province of Mugla on the Dalyan River of the same name. In the vicinity of the city there are numerous ancient archaeological sites and natural attractions. The city is one of the most visited villages among tourists. Tours usually begin with a visit to the thermal springs located near the village, followed by a boat trip along the river, where you can see the rock tombs. The tour ends with a rest on a unique sandy beach, better known as Turtle Beach.

Initially, the guide promised that we would come along the picturesque river to the place where blue crabs live, catch them, then they will cook them for us, we will eat them. After that, we will go to the beach with turtles, where there is a volunteer center and these turtles are treated. And that almost literally we will swim next to them. In general - a divorce ...We drove from Kusadasi. Early check out at 4 am. We traveled by bus for a long time. Here we drove, drove, drove (((then a very meager breakfast at the gas station, like 1 egg, 2 slices of bread, 1 piece of tomato and 6 olives, margarine (not butter) for bread .

We went in June, the tour is interesting, the pictures and videos are amazing. Of the minuses before entering the boat, they take away all the food and drinks, almost search the bags. Lunch was delicious during the day. But the tour is very long, of course, you additionally leave a lot of money at the prices of the ship for food + drinks. Back in June, it was not hot, when we were sailing along Dalyan it was very cold. Knowledgeable foreigners rode with us in warm jackets...In the beginning, everyone was surprised, then everything fell into place.

The tour is very rich and interesting. At the very beginning, we visited a turtle clinic, where we were shown a 90-year-old Tortilla. After that, we went to the village of Dalyan and boarded a boat. In 5 minutes we crossed the river and arrived at mud springs with pools of thermal water. After that, after having lunch in a restaurant, we listened to the guide's story about the tombs and sailed to the beach. There was also a stop for catching crabs, which were then prepared by the captain. I liked the beach with its sand and waves.

A very entertaining excursion that combines history, treatment, and relaxation on the beach. I can recommend both adults and children. According to legend, the son of Apollo Miletos gave birth to twins, a boy Kaunos and a girl Byblis. Biblis's love for her brother crossed the boundaries of sisterly love, one day she could not stand it and confessed to Kaunos. The brother leaves and founds the new city of Kaunos, the ruins of which have survived to this day. Byblis goes in search of his brother and in desperation throws himself from the highest mountain.

The tour is very capacious, roomy - just an ocean of impressions! ) You sail on a boat, look at the turtles that appear from the water, look at the tombs (I remember and liked it the most), catch crabs and a lot more. Money - a lot, but they were not sorry at all ! ! Be sure to allow yourself such a wonderful excursion to this beautiful place.
