Dilek National Park

National Park Dilek, Dilek YarImadasI-Buyuk Menderes DeltasI Milli ParkI
Turkey, Kusadasi
Not far from Kusadasi is the Dilek National Park. Most of this reserve is closed to tourists as a military zone. The most frequently visited section is a 10 km stretch of road that runs past four beautiful pebbly beaches. Here you can see representatives of the Mediterranean flora - chestnut groves with dry bushes. The park is home to Anatolian cheetahs and wild horses, the only ones left in Turkey.
The central entrance to the Dilek National Park is located on the outskirts of the village of Guzelcamli, 18 km south of the city of Kusadasi. At the very beginning of the park, visitors are greeted by the cave of Zeus - the local Wailing Wall.
The park is famous for its excellent pebble beaches: Aydinlyk-Koyu, Kavakly-Burun and Karasu. Two ancient cities are also interesting: Panonion and Tebai, located in the park. These cities are hidden by the powerful spur of the Samsun Mountains, but are accessible by mountain bike or on foot. The local monastery of Panagia is also curious. Among the architectural and cultural monuments of the park are the Filikli Castle and the Harap Church, both objects are made in Greek and Turkish architectural styles.

On the day of the tour, we were picked up from our hotel by a bus and taken to the pier. Here, in addition to our boat, there were about 5 more yachts. After loading onto the ship, we had to wait another 30 minutes until all the tourists gathered. At 10:00 we hit the road. We decided to sit on the upper deck, because the view from here to the sea was better. But the sun became very hot and after 40 minutes, we went down lower. Around 11:30 we make our first stop near a pretty deserted bay. We were given an hour to swim, sunbathe or just walk along the coast.
