Goynuk Canyon

Goynuk Canyon, Göynük kanyonu, Goynuk Canyon, Goynuk Canyon
Turkey, Kemer
The distance from Kemer to the Goynuk resort is 7 kilometers. To get to the Goynuk Canyon on your own, it is best to rent a bike. There is a good signposted road in Olympos Park that will lead directly to the Goynuk Canyon.
At the canyon it is necessary to rent special equipment, without which they are not allowed further to the waterfalls: rubber boots, a strong helmet and a vest with or without a wetsuit. The water in the gorge is quite cold, and the bottom is rocky. In some parts of the canyon, you can travel by boat, but the main path will have to be overcome on foot.
The height of the walls of the canyon in some places reaches 350 meters, and the depth of the river sometimes exceeds 6 meters.

It so happened that we came to the Kemer region this autumn again and decided to conquer the canyon after all: for the first time we just walked along the route and admired the mountains. But here there was nowhere to retreat: although I don’t really know how to swim, I still need to see what’s inside! )) This time we lived in Ç amyuva, we got ourselves on a dolmus, an express train that went along the highway. The stern but sympathetic driver himself stopped the bus at the beginning of the official road to the canyon (one-way fare cost 9 liras per person).

The canyon is definitely worth a visit. We took it as part of a tour package, we were taken to the highest point in jeeps, the road is winding and long (about 3-4 km), so it is very convenient, given the heat. Take a waterproof case for your phone or camera with you. The most breathtaking shots after the descent. The uniform is in good condition, safety precautions are voiced in Russian. Clean and clear water, at first very cold (15-17 degrees) 400 meters, then warmer.

We were in this picturesque place the other day. With a child, a daughter of 6 years. I liked it very much. We traveled on our own in a rented car. They paid $15 per person at the entrance for everything (equipment + delivery to the canyon 2 km uphill, by car) they don’t take it back, probably because it’s from the mountain, or maybe because it was already too late. All the views from the open SUV were successfully filmed for a short video, but on the way back they were once again studied in detail.

We went from Kemer (stops in the center near the clock tower). Minibuses are already running from 8 in the morning (maybe earlier, but we were moving out at 8), we didn’t know which bus was right for us - and asked the first driver we came across - he answered “seven, number seven”)) We paid 4.5 for the fare lire per person one way. We asked the driver in advance to stop where necessary, he even showed us which way to go, although it is difficult to get lost there. Walk about 3 km to the entrance.

Goynuk Canyon Kemer June 2019 I am leaving a fresh review in June 2019, the city of Kemer, I lived at the Botanik lukullus hotel. We got to the canyon by bus. After reading the reviews, we realized that the clock tower in the center of Kemer is the main point for traveling. We sat down at a stop on the opposite side of the tower (buses move from the city). The most frequent bus is 07, the sign says Goynuk, Antalya. Warn the driver that you need a canyon, he will let you out at the turn to it on the other side of the road.

A very beautiful place. We arrived by bus from Kemer for $ 1, we walked 3 km from the highway, it was hard in the heat. Entrance fee was $2 per person. If you walk at the bottom of the canyon, you will not see all the beauty. You need to take a tour on the spot, we paid $ 28 per person. We were taken up in jeeps, where we were given wetsuits and the adventure began. This indescribable beauty, tall mountains, clear water, cascades, caves. Very oooo beautiful. In my opinion, if you are already in the canyon, do not spare money and take everything to the fullest.

We were there at the end of September. Picturesque nature, blue lakes, definitely worth a visit. We arrived from Beldibi for 7 liras by the Antalya-Kemer minibus. In Guinyuk, they went out and rented an electric car, without any documents. Walking from the city to the park is impractical in the heat of 3 km along a country road, the strength to walk in the park for a few more km will come in handy. It is better to ride with the breeze, the way was checked with the locals. I tried the zip line in the park, there were two descents, the first one was extreme and a cool view from the top.

Impressions are amazing. The spirit is captivating. You go and do not believe that you see what you see. We got on public transport to a stop on the highway, from where we turn to the canyon. Walking through the heat all the way to the canyon is rather tricky and rather wild. But you can look at the life of a Turkish village, not quite a tourist one, and taste freshly squeezed pomegranate juice for $ 1 for 2 glasses. If you are not used to walking, then it is better to go. Entrance to the territory of the canyon 8 lira.
