An interesting attraction in the very center of Izmir. Kadifekale is not only the name of the fortress, but also the name of the hill on top of which it stands. The place is not difficult to find, it is enough to focus on the huge Turkish flag that flies over this place. It can be seen from almost anywhere in the city. The fortress itself has not been completely preserved, but in 2006 the government carried out a reconstruction. The entrance is free. Souvenirs and handmade carpets are sold on site.→
