The city of Aspendos is located a few kilometers from the city of Side, in Turkey, on the banks of the Manavgat River. Everyone knows the ancient theater in this city and the legend of its origin. But many guides (including mine) simply keep silent about the city itself. I learned about its existence from a Turk who wanted to sell me some supposedly ancient coins. We talked in broken English, and he showed me with his hand - there is a city! I went.
