Good day to all. I would like to tell about our visit to Aspendos, the ruins and the amphitheater. We rested at the Siam Elegance Hotel & Spa in Bogaskent. One day we decided to have some fun and visit this monument of ancient architecture. We rented a car at the hotel ($40 per day) and drove to Aspendos. The road is not long, about half an hour. On the sides of the road, rural Turkish flavor with orange groves. There is a large parking lot in front of the architectural complex. Entrance 60 liras per person, they accept cards.

Aspendos is a famous Greco-Roman city in ancient times. Getting to it is not so easy and there is practically no place to stay for the night, but still it is worth going there as a one-day excursion - you will not regret it. We traveled from Antalya by bus. This theater is amazing, built in the 2nd century, it is still considered to be active and even receives spectators who come to gawk at a performance or an opera concert. Unfortunately, we didn't get to see the show. But I assure you, this theater is by no means inferior to the well-known Colosseum.

The acoustics are amazing, huge lavas (not even benches), it seems that this is not an ancient attraction that has been perfectly preserved to our time, but an open concert hall built in antique style. Great experience, although we just wandered around it, did not get to any performance or concert.

The dance show "Fires of Anatolia" is an amazing program, which has no analogues anywhere in the world! It takes place in the ancient amphitheater of Aspendos, located near the resort town of Side. This building is very harmoniously combined with various musical performances that take place on the stage. During the program, we saw a lot of numbers, ranging from classical ballet, dervish dance, folk dances of the regions of Turkey, oriental, even modern dances with tile modern. Just imagine - dozens of dancers synchronously, foot to foot, perform a complex dance, which is accompanied by bright lights, music and loud applause! At the end of the performance, the dancers were greeted standing up, calling for an encore several times .
