Compared to other monuments in Antalya, Saat Kulesi is relatively young. It was built on the border of the XIX - XX centuries. On the 25th anniversary of his reign, the German Emperor Wilhelm II presented Sultan Abdul Hamid with a batch of facade clocks. It was after this that clock towers appeared in several cities of Turkey at once. Historians still argue about the purpose of this tower. Some say that the building was specially built to set the clock in the central part of the city. The clock tower has retained its original appearance to this day.→
