Dim River and Dim Cave

Dim Magarası, Dim Cave, Dim River
Turkey, Alanya
The Dim River flows six kilometers east of the center of Alanya and has a length of about 60 km. It originates in the Taurus Mountains and flows into the Mediterranean Sea.
The water in the river is cold not only in winter, but also in summer.
Dim Cave, located in the Kestel area 4.5 km east of the center of Alanya, is even larger than Damlatas Cave and is said to be 1 million years old. It is located in the southern part of the Dim Valley. The cave consists of two parts. The left side is 360 m and the right side is 50 meters. This is the second largest cave in Turkey open to the public.

Didn't make a special impression, maybe because of the crumpled blitz tour, which I really don't like. Everything is very fast, very concise - just entered and immediately left. I would like to visit it not in the crowd, but in a small company, to look at everything for as long as you want.

Great feeling, though sooooo many people. But this is not decisive in the question - to visit or not to visit. Because the answer is clear and positive. It would be possible to consider and walk around there for a very long time. Warm tea will be a nice bonus)

Along the river there are many cafes and restaurants with delicious food. We were in one of the popular establishments where you catch fish yourself and cook it for you) Very tasty, super!

After visiting the cave, I realized that Alanya is not only a seaside resort. Many parents with children, which was very strange. It was so nice to go into the coolness, after 42 degrees outside. Stalactites and stalagmites, and the lake at the end of the cave - it seems we are in another world .. And the views outside! High peaks of the Taurus Mountains, greenery around. On the terrace with a glass of Turkish tea or a cup of coffee - mm . . nirvana. Undoubtedly and must visit!
