Damlatas cave

Damlatas MagarasI
Turkey, Alanya
A cave in the center of Alanya, at the western foot of the peninsula. The name Damlatash can be translated from Turkish as “stone in drops” (Turkish damla - drop, taş - stone).
The cave was discovered in 1948 during the construction of the port. Damlatash is located 100 meters from the sea. At the entrance to the cave there is a narrow passage 50 m long, which leads into a cylindrical cavity. Inside the cave, you can see fantastic formations of colorful stalactites and stalagmites, which are 15,000 years old. The temperature in the cave is constantly kept at +22…+23 degrees, the humidity is over 90%.
Damlatash is one of the few Turkish caves specially equipped for tourists to visit. A visit to the cave is beneficial for asthma patients. Healing factors can be a stable temperature, very high humidity, high carbon dioxide, low radioactivity and air ionization.

Definitely worth a visit for those who have not been to the caves before. The cave is very small but beautiful. If you have visited caves before (for example, the Marble Cave in the Crimea), then you will not be very interested and it will not impress you.

The cave is located on the side of the mountain, on the other side of the Red Tower. Many tourists visit it daily. Translated by Damlata? means stone drops. A wonderful, beautiful place that is definitely worth a visit! You can watch the video https://youtu. be/6h1t9UAYHR8

The cave itself is quite small but beautiful. Stalactites are certainly impressive, but I have seen more. It is not worth going here to see the cave, but as an addition to the beach it will do.

The cave is called curative in view of the fact that there is a constant climate that does not change throughout the year (the same temperature, humidity) and people with asthma come here to be treated (as they say). The cave is beautiful, stalactites hang from the very ceiling to the bottom. There were few people, everyone considered, enjoyed and was satisfied.

A small cave, compared to others that are on my list of already visited. But she is attractive and even very. They say that the air here is special, so it is curative. There are a lot of people, it gets crowded.
