Martyrs Square

Place des Martyrs
Tunis, Sousse
Previously, one of the fortress gates surrounding the Medina and the city wall was located on the site of this square. After the bombing of Sousse in 1943, ruins and a hole in the wall formed on this site. Later, a monument to the victims of the war was erected here.
