Tamerza Canyon

Tamerza Canyon is the largest mountain oasis in Tunisia, located near the border with Algiers and 6 km from Mides. Tamerza is a mountain gorge where you can see the ruins of an abandoned village. The village was abandoned by residents during the flood of the river in 1969. In the canyon, you can see ruined huts, a village mosque and several cascading waterfalls.
