The mosque, named after the first president of Tunisia, Habib Boughriba, was built in 1963 on the model of the Hammoud Pasha Mosque in the city of Tunisia. Its prayer hall is decorated with magnificent pink marble columns, golden mosaics and exquisite Kairouan carvings dominate the decor.
