The island of Koh Panui is quite small and consists of a sheer cliff less than 400 m long. The island is located on the territory of
Phang Nga National Park. On this island at the end of the XVIII century. sea gypsies founded a village of the same name, which exists to this day. The village of Koh Panui is notable for being built right into the sea on stilts. All one-story houses are adjacent to the south side of the island's sheer cliff. The village has its own school, a mosque, several restaurants and shops, a clinic, and cheap bungalows for vacationers have recently been built there.
A visit to the village and island of Koh Panui is included in most tours of Pha Nga Bay.
