Similan Islands National Park

Similan Islands National Park, Mu Ko Similan National Park
Thailand, Phuket
The Similan Islands are a group of 11 islands in the Andaman Sea with an area of about 140 sq. km. and they are located 65 km. west of Phuket. The national park here was founded in 1985 as a marine reserve, and in 1998 its boundaries were expanded - 2 more islands were included: Bon and Tachai.
The territory of the park consists of numerous islands with relatively high and steep mountains, beaches and rock formations of various shapes. Some of the islands have low mountains - the highest point of the islands is at an altitude of 244 meters above sea level, and some of the islands are a flat surface surrounded by sand dunes and coral reefs. Despite the fact that there are eleven islands, only three islands have beaches: Miang, Similan and Tachai. The rest of the islands are closed to tourists due to the rocky coastline or for environmental reasons.
The Similan Islands are considered one of the best diving destinations, but you can also enjoy sailing, outdoor recreation, bird watching and kayaking.
Tourists are attracted by coral reefs, massive boulders, the underwater world and the snow-white beaches of the Similan Islands. You can only stay on the islands of Miang and Similan in a special tent camp or in a bungalow. During the rainy season, the national park is closed from May to November each year for the safety of visitors.

Fantastic beauty beaches! White coral sand, glossy gray boulders along the shore, clear turquoise water and emerald green palm trees! A must to visit in Phuket, the photos are obtained as if from the Maldives. Of the inconveniences - to get a few hours first by minibus and then by boat. You can take a tour with an overnight stay - in a tent, a house or on a yacht. Do not take it in the tent, flying foxes yell in the morning like they are cut and shit on the tent.

(I was amazed that no one has left a review so far, probably they just couldn’t find words to describe all the luxury of this place. I’m also not sure of my abilities, but I’ll take a chance. ) It is better to leave this excursion at the end of your vacation in Phuket, when it seems that you have already seen everything, nothing will shock your imagination, and your tan has burned your skin a centimeter deep. The road is a little long, they take you from the island to the mainland, they already put you on a boat, which spits to the west for about an hour and a half.
