Temple Wat Chedi Luang
Wat Chedi Luang
Thailand, Chiang Mai
"Chedi Luang" is one of the oldest Buddhist temples located in the central part of the Old City in Chiang Mai. At the temple complex there is a functioning Buddhist monastery. The unique architecture of "Chedi Luang" was seriously damaged by an earthquake in the 16th century. In the early nineties of the twentieth century, thanks to the UNESCO program and the support of the Japanese government, the temple was reconstructed.
