Siam Paragon is a mall in Bangkok, which is one of the largest malls in Asia. There is also a large bowling center and karaoke. It is a joint venture between Siam Piwat, which owns the adjacent malls, and The Mall Group, which also owns Emporium.
Siam Paragon was built on the site of the former InterContinental Siam Hotel, which was demolished in 2002 after the lease expired. This site is owned by the Bureau of Royal Property, it was leased for 30 years, and was once part of the royal park of the Spapatum Palace. During the mall's construction, waiting passengers on the Bangkok Skytrain could see the building take shape from the platform of Siam Station. Now the platform of Siam Station has one of the best views of the mall's courtyard, where many exhibitions and other events are held.
Siam Paragon is located on an area of 13 acres (52,600 sq.m.), its total area is 300,000 sq.m.
