In the middle of the lively Shafarika Square is an oasis of peace and quiet - a green square with wooden benches arranged around a small original fountain. He is called Duck, because it is these birds we can see in the sculptural composition that crowns him. According to some researchers, the Duck Fountain together with the Ganymede Fountain compete for the title of the most beautiful and most popular fountain in Bratislava. It is especially loved by children, perhaps because, along with ducks, sculptor Robert Kuzmaer depicted several boys, beating the local legend of the water and the children who turned to stone because they tried to get into the underwater kingdom.→
